The Role
This is a varied and important role at the heart of our business, supporting the smooth running of the laboratory and helping to ensure our clients receive the excellent service they expect.
You will work closely with the Managing Director and technical team, assisting with administration, case management and customer communication.
This role would suit someone returning to work or seeking a long-term part-time position within a friendly local business.
No previous dental experience is required, as full training will be provided, although experience in an administrative or customer service role would be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
• Checking cases into the laboratory and ensuring all information is recorded accurately.
• Preparing, checking and packaging completed cases ready for dispatch.
• Organising daily post and courier collections.
• Contacting dental practices to obtain missing information, photographs, scans or prescriptions.
• Answering telephone calls and responding to emails.
• Assisting with general office administration and filing.
• Maintaining accurate records and updating laboratory software.
• Ordering office supplies and helping to keep the office organised.
• Supporting the team with day-to-day administrative tasks as required.
Essential Requirements
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Friendly and professional manner.
• Confident communicator, both on the telephone and by email.
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office and email.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
• Reliable, trustworthy and punctual.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Desirable Experience
Experience in any of the following would be advantageous:
• Administrative or office-based work.
• Customer service.
• Healthcare or dental environments.
• Packing and dispatch of goods.
